Diamine Inkvent 2023: Day 16 — Merry & Bright
Day 16!
Welcome to day sixteen! Today’s ink is my personal favorite in the set so far: Merry & Bright.
The color/properties:
Merry & Bright is a shimmering ink. Diamine doesn’t explicitly state the color of the shimmer anywhere on the bottle, but to my eyes, the particulates look silver. In lower lighting, they could appear golden, as well. The base color is an especially vibrant and festive green that shades with a crisp cut between lightly varying tones.

How did it perform?
Merry & Bright was great. It had an adequately wet flow that provided a comfortable writing experience through all the nibs. I didn’t run into any clogs or hard starts during my tests and the shimmer distribution was consistent across all of the test nibs. There wasn’t any feathering or bleeding on either of the test pages. Merry & Bright also cleaned out easily. The color and particulates were cleaned out with a basic soak and flush and there were no signs of the dreaded haze that I’ve seen with a few of the previous Inkvent shimmers.
My personal thoughts…
Merry & Bright is right. I’m so happy with this ink! It’s so bright, so vibrant, so festive. It’s exactly what I was hoping for, and thus far, it’s the biggest stand-out for me in this year’s calendar. I love it, and I don’t see my little sample bottle lasting till the end of the season before it’s all gone and I need to buy another.
