Diamine Inkvent 2023: Day 2 — Cashmere Rose
Day 2!
Hello everyone! For day two, we have Cashmere Rose.
The color/properties:
Cashmere Rose is a soft deep pink. The muted shades give the color more texture, which I think reflects the name well. Diamine labeled this ink as standard, so there isn’t any sheen, particulate, or scent, but it does offer a moderate amount of shading between varying intensities of itself — more in soft gradient rather than a crisp and clear difference in color. Earlier I said that there wasn’t any sheen, but the ink droplets did exhibit a slight yellow luster where the ink pooled heavier. Still, I don’t think you would run into any kind of sheen writing with this ink.

How did it perform?
The performance was great! It had a nice flow and felt sufficiently slick across each of the test nibs. I didn’t run into any hard starts, skips, or stops while writing, and it was overall a very pleasant writing experience. Cleaning did take longer than expected. It wasn’t intolerable by any means, but it took multiple soaks and flushes before the water ran clear. Fortunately, there wasn’t any residue stuck to the inner walls of the barrel or the piston.
My personal thoughts…
I like Cashmere Rose. It doesn’t necessarily have any special properties, but it doesn’t have to. As previously mentioned, the softness of the color gives it a texture that I think captures the essence of fabric well. At the same time, it tones down the intensity of the color, imparting it with cool undertones. I think it’s a perfect color for winter and great Inkvent ink. I’ll more than likely be buying a personal bottle for myself when it’s available.
